September was a bumper month for the Gunners, with Arsène Wenger's players netting 16 times over the course of six matches - and they were helped by two Southampton own goals, too.

Gervinho hit four goals, Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott scored three each, while Olivier Giroud, Santi Cazorla, Laurent Koscielny, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Andrey Arshavin and Ignasi Miquel also registered.
